In the process of learning Media Internet also has its advantages and disadvantages. Excess Media Internet.

Bustle of life STUDENTS AS AGENT OF CHANGE          Students are milestones of a change. A term which certainly is not foreign to us to hear, namely that "Students As Agents Of Change / Agents of Change". Students have always been part of the history of a nation. Critical thinking and constructive always born of the mindset of the students. The attitude of idealism encourages students to strive for a people's aspirations to authority, in their own way.          The role of students is very real for a change in the life of society, state and nation. Where do students own role including: 1) as an analyzer, giving a solution to the phenomenon or events that are happening in society, 2) as observers and controllers of the government's policies and decisions, 3) as a mouthpiece or convey the aspirations of the campus community in particular and society at large, 4) as a messenger of truth, 5) as a change agent (agent of change), 6) as the young nation's future successor.
Besides all that, there is an interesting story in the lives of students. Interesting life it is life that is identical to the boarding house life. Although the conditions of boarding school boys who always synonymous with concern as there is in the minds of some people. But it's not entirely true. Because there are still among those who could feel glamorous life with the facilities and requirements are always sufficient. However, there are not more of them are boarding economic conditions mediocre. The size of income rely on transfers from parents. If the ration of the parents exhausted before the end of the month, then start the boarding school boys in action to get a loan to a friend who is considered more capable. Not infrequently some of them were in debt at the campus cafeteria or stall boarding mother. Owe back next month, just moving from one friend to another friend.

Mengejar Beasiswa ke Amerika itu Gampang Gampang Susah

JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com - Mengejar beasiswa tidak segampang yang dibayangkan, tetapi juga tidak sesulit yang dipikirkan. Di mana ada kemauan, di situ ada jalan.

Seperti dikatakan Advisor education USA Ninda Daianti, bahwa mengejar beasiswa ke Amerika membutuhkan kerja keras yang besar, mental yang kuat, dan intelejensia tinggi.

"Saya tidak mengatakan itu gampang, tetapi memang membutuhkan kerja keras yang lebih dari biasanya," ujar Ninda di pusat kebudayaan Amerika Serikat, Pacific Place lantai 3, Jakarta Selatan, Rabu (19/9/2012).

Tidak bermaksud membuat semangat para pelajar Indonesia menyusut, apa yang disampaikannya merupakan saran nyata bahwa persaingan beasiswa di Amerika sangat ketat.

"Kalau kamu sungguh-sungguh ingin mendapat bantuan biaya studi, kamu harus layak dan 'menjual', maksudnya mengapa akhirnya pemerinta USA mau membiaya kamu? Semua butuh persiapan matang, bukan hanya niat saja," urai perempuan yang pernah menempuh pendidikan di negeri Paman Sam itu.

Meski agak 'menakutkan' mendengar pernyataan Ninda, akan tetapi ia berujar agar para pelajar tidak usah merasa khawatir. Sebab, kunci mendapatkan beasiswa itu adalah siswa tidak mudah menyerah.

"Jangan hanya sekali apply, harus terus mencoba. Terus riset. Kalau bisa aplikasi lamaran beasiswa kamu ke 40-50 beasiswa yang ada. Masukin semua, dan terus menyiapkan plan A, B, dan C, seterusnya," sarannya lagi.

Ninda menjelaskan, setidaknya ada puluhan beasiswa yang ditawarkan di education USA. Melalui laman resminya di www.educationUSA.or.id, info beasiswa akan di-update setiap satu kali seminggu, yaitu tiap hari Kamis.

"Dalam mencari beasiswa, ini penting. Kamu harus fokus melihat diri dan kemampuan sesuai jurusan yang tepat. Mencari beasiswa per jurusan akan memfokuskan usaha Anda dalam mengejar beasiswa yang diincar, semuanya ada di sini," ucapnya lagi.

Secara detail, ia pun menyebutkan beberapa hal yang harus dilakukan pelamar adalah; selalu perbaharui essay atau motivation letter.
"Hampir setiap beasiswa akan selalu ada persyaratan untuk menuliskan essay pribadi atau personal assignment. Siapa kamu, akan terurai di sana," ujarnya.

Ninda juga menyarankan dalam menyampaikan surat motivasi beasiswa, substansi yang disampaikan dalam bahasa Inggris harus mendekati kesempurnaan.

"Grammar mistake itu nggak boleh ada, oh ya jangan pula menggunakan passif voice, isinya juga tidak bertele-tele dan harus bermakna, menunjukan kemampuan, kemauan, dan kerja keras kamu," jelasnya.

Tapi yang tidak kalah penting adalah tetap mengontrol semangat diri, karena mimpi dan cita-cita kamu tersimpan dalam api semangat di hati dan pikiranmu. Jadi jaga terus agar tetap menyala dan selalu terus berjuang hingga meraih masa depan gemilang. Take control your future, guys!

Asalasah ~ Di jaman modern ini, laptop sudah merupakah perangkat penting untuk mendukung aktivitas kita. Di saat kita sedang beraktivitas dengan laptop dan kemudian baterai habis, tentu akan repot jika kita harus menghentikan aktivitas kita di laptop untuk mencharge baterainya. Kebanyakan orang mencharge laptopnya sambil mengoperasikan laptop. Tetapi di samping itu, banyak sekali timbul opini dari orang-orang bahwa bermain laptop sambil charge dapat membuat baterai cepat drop dan kembung. Tetapi ada juga pendapat yang mengatakan justru kalau bermain laptop lansung dari listrik tanpa menggunakan baterai justru merusakkan perangkat-perangkat laptop.

Know your interest,not just your posistion à Why do you want what you want? Prioritize your interests. Which ones are fundamental? Which ones are derivative? Hoe committed must you be to each of them?

Know what others want aneed à Understand the isterests of your constituents, the other parties, and those parties constituancies. Ask questions. More important, pay attention to the answer.

Deal with positional bargainers carefully à If someone makes an unnaceptable proposal, say nothing and show no emotion.
